About

I am a PhD student at Falmouth University studying ‘Chance’ in Filmmaking. Originally, I am from South Africa, but I moved to the UK in 2017.

During the course of my PhD, my aim is to play with different forms of agency restriction in order to see what I learn along the way. My interests lie in the process of creation way more than in the final piece itself. Often, I focus on shorter productions in order to test as many different methods as possible.

I have had an interest in independent filmmaking ever since I was a small child, and have returned back to the practice multiple times over my life. After the Covid-19 pandemic and a personal loss, I decided to focus on what I loved rather than what was expected of me or easiest.
